Four Long Island nonprofits got a total of about $200,000 out of $1.8 million in state grants that will go toward improving parks, trails and other public lands.

Recipients of grants include Long Island's Planting Fields Foundation, Caumsett Foundation, Friends of Jones Beach, and Atlantic Marine Conservation Society.

The grand opening is slated for Arbor Day weekend.
