California taxpayers will receive roughly $11.4 million through a nationwide settlement totaling $141 million with Intuit. The company was accused in a lawsuit of deceptively advertising TurboTax products as "free" online when they were not, the plaintiffs announced Wednesday.

Harrisburg, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Attorney Generals office has secured a settlement with Intuit Inc., makers of TurboTax, announced today.

In Tennessee, approximately 111,000 customers of Intuit Inc. will be eligible to receive payments of about $30 for each year they used a paid TurboTax product — if they qualified to file for free through the IRS system during tax years 2016-2018.
