Filmmaker Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan misses his close friend Sushant Singh Rajput and on the first anniversary of the actor s passing, the young writer-director spoke to ETimes about everything that made his dear friend SSR different from the crowd. Talking about their friendship, Sanjay says, “Our equation had gone beyond just an actor and director. We had become friends who would discuss everything and helped each other better ourselves in whatever we do.”

There is one incident from 2017 that Sanjay remembers vividly. He reveals, “He called me the previous night and asked me to come to Aamby Valley as we had to discuss a film story. I told him that we could talk over the phone but, he insisted that I come there and that we could have food together. I didn’t want to miss the chance and I drove from Mumbai to Aamby Valley. Because I got stuck in a traffic jam we were talking to each other over the phone and my narration happened before I could rea
