James Carey, 54, pleaded no contest to sexually assaulting five teenage boys during his tenure as a police officer and D.A.R.E. officer in Warminster Township from 1989 to 2009. The open plea to five counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and other offenses came just days before Carey's trial was scheduled to start. He will be sentenced in November, Bucks County prosecutors said.

DOYLESTOWN â A former North Wales and Warminster police officer accused of sexually abusing children while working as a D.A.R.E. officer has had his bail increased.
