Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department has announced that five suspects connected to a series of shootings that occurred in the Poconos on Monday night have been apprehended.
During a Tuesday press conference, PMRPD Chief Chris Wagner stated that the individuals including an unidentified 15-year-old, 19-year-old Aja’nay Watson, 20-year-old Jahlayah Blondell, 21-year-old Soladin Hamilton and 22-year-old Laron Watson, all from Tobyhanna have been arrested and will be charged as of Jan. 19.
During the Tuesday conference, Wagner said that police were dispatched to multiple scenes for multiple shootings with multiple victims throughout Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County on Jan. 18.
The shootings were the result of a case of mistaken identity, Wagner and the Monroe County District Attorney s office stated.
