Henry IV, Part 2, chronicle play in five acts by William Shakespeare, written in 1597โ98 and published in a corrupt text based in part on memorial reconstruction in a quarto edition in 1600. A better text, printed in the main from an authorial manuscript, appeared in the First Folio in 1623.
