Markets. Dow is up 181, 30,150, all three of the averages setting record highs today. Shannon, you have made some very interesting moves in your portfolio, both what you have trimmed and what you have added to first to what you have trimmed apple and microsoft. T tell me why. So really two different stories here, scott. First of all, ill start with microsoft. As i talked about on the show, this is our Largest Holding and remains a very high convince for us we still have a lot of confidence in azure and the endtoend software it offers but from a portfolio perspective, it was time to trim apple, weve seen a significant runup, 75 in the last year and we really feel like a lot of that has come on multiple expansion. Weve gone from about 15 times to about 27 times. Although we do believe in the services storyand the mo monetization, we think there are better opportunities we trimmed back from a market weight to an underweight were going to continue to hold the stock and maybe look for oppor
Market another major selloff on wall street. Stocks temably tumbling s p tumbling but check out what happened on the year this has only happened 17 times before going back to 1962. Brian kelly, what does this tell you about the market well, it tells me we are in for some tough sledding, a lot of turbulence. What is interesting, that bonds and stocks did Different Things than they should have done there are a lot of people in the market, when stocks are down and bonds are supposed to be up. They used that as part of their port foal yoan when things get out of whack, they have to balance that. This feels like the end of february, beginning of march gold didnt do well, bonds didnt do well the only class that was up was bitcoin. That seems to be a safe haven. Jeff, what did you make of that when we talk about safe havens, it is not necessarily negative health care outperformed and utilities outperformed so it was the usual suspects but tech not being a safe haven, that speaks to the statis
Researchers involved in the usc dornside day break poll. Thank you for inviting me. Before we get into the experimental polling method, tell us, using that method right now, who would win the popular vote and who would win the Electoral College and hence the white house . We are actually part of a Research Team partnering with usc. Were skrg a panel of participants for their own intentions to vote and using several new methods were hoping the shed light on the election. In particular were asking people who they think their friends will vote for. According to this, biden still wins popular vote by a more narrow margin than most polls predict. When it comes to electoral votes, although our poll was not designed to do statelevel predictio predictions, there is a possibility that trump could win electoral vote or at least what were seeing is a very close race. All right. So i understand that unlike other polls where they kind of get at who would you vote for, youre asking, hey, who do you
That michigan will go to biden that brings bidens electoral votes to 253 but there are still six uncalled races too close to call. Pennsylvania, georgia, North Carolina, arizona. Joe biden issued a speech. Diana . He issued a speech last night about being patient. But now he is on the offensive he said respect and he talked about achievements, talking about garnering more votes than any other president in history then he used his fighting people we the people will not be silenced we the people will not be bullied. We the people will not surrender. My friends, i am confident we will emerge victorious part of that was the launch of a new campaign that bide enl tweeted he was starting a fight fund because donald trump doesnt get to decide the outcome of the election, the American People do it made the point. And then he left presumably to start the fight. Thank you, diana. As the Trump Campaign launches a Legal Campaign they have indicated they will fight this let me run you through exact
Well, my view is that were coming into this election and were expecting uncertainty. Youre seeing Institutional Investors hedge against a longer period of volatility following this election. Theres clearly an expectation that perhaps tomorrow night we will not have a decision on who is going to be the president of the United States. With that being said, i think, you know, if you look at positioning into the next six to eight weeks, i think its going to be consistent with what were expecting for next year, which is an improvement in economic growth, perhaps an end or an improvement to the covid19 situation and likely stimulus from either the republicans or the democrats. It will look different depending on whos sitting in the white house and if we get a Democratic Senate but for the most part i think that investors are anticipating some stimulus coming out of this the next two to three weeks could be very choppy if we tonight hadon have that decision but i think investors are instituti
