March 24 marks the 150th birthday of the master magician Harry Houdini, illusionist and escapologist who inspired the Shadow, Batman, and the very idea of the superhero.

Moncton author and comic artist Dano LeBlanc, died on Saturday of pancreatic cancer at the age of 55. LeBlanc was an artist, poet, filmmaker and musician, but best known for creating the character of Acadieman, the "first superhero acadien" who spoke almost entirely in Chiac.
