The Washington Valor (1-5) held the Philadelphia Soul (7-0) in check but ultimately lost 48-47 in front of 9,873 fans on Saturday afternoon inside of Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. This week was tied for the closest scores in AFL history, Cleveland lost to Baltimore 63-60, a four point total differential between both teams, the record was originally set in 1987.

CLEVELAND- The dynasty is officially continuing. The Arizona Rattlers have completed their three-peat. They knocked off the Cleveland Gladiators 72-32 to win ArenaBowl XXVII in the biggest blowout in ArenaBowl history. The Rattlers are now the second team to win three straight ArenaBowl titles.

It was one of the most boring War on I-4 battles in the history of the most storied rivalry in the AFL... And then the final 17 minutes of the game happened... And never before was there a game between the Orlando Predators and the Tampa Bay Storm that ended quite like this. The Predators watched their 2010 campaign come to a close on Saturday night at the St. Pete Times Forum with a 63-62 defeat at the hands of their arch rivals from Tampa Bay.

I'm not in San Jose, so maybe this is easy for me to say as a fan of the Arena Football League who lives some 3,000 miles away from the SAP Center. But the news of the exit of John and David Fry from the AFL was not only a necessity, but it was actually a net positive in the long run for those of us who are more fans of the game and the sport of arena football rather than fans of individual teams.

Cleveland Gladiators quarterback Kurt Rocco took the snap from center and looked over the field but could not find an open receiver. Knowing the game was on the line he took off and scrambled eight yards to the end zone for the winning touchdown last night with just three seconds left to give the Gladiators a 62-58 win over the Mustangs.
