The F-35 Lightning II / Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) is a U.S. fifth-generation, single engine, multirole fighter developed in partnership with eight nations and produced by Lockheed Martin. It is designed in three variants and is powered by a single Pratt & Whitney F135 turbofan engine. Each variant features a different derivative of the F135 engine. As of December 2021, more than 730 F-35s have been delivered to the U.S., international JSF partners and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.

They got iced up. what happened, the air speed indicator acted like an altimeter. so when the aircraft climbed, showed it was increasing in speed. that obviously wasnt happening. the pilots reacted to pulling the power back. thats the way you control the speed. what happened is that they didnt realize they were climbing, pulling the power back, enter the catastrophic stall, huge loss of lift on the wing and descended from 35,000 feet into the ocean. the pilots had no idea that the flight envelop...
