Flights Delayed News Today

Data from the Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) shows which airports see the most delays and cancellations.

Passengers were stranded at various airports including Delhi, Lucknow, and Kozhikode among others, due to no prior information before cancellation of flights and a lack of timely updates apart from weather problem, technical glitches and unprofessional behaviour of airlines and airport staff.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that the national capital experienced a minimum temperature of 7.3 degrees Celsius in the morning, which is a degree below the normal range.

According to the official, four flights were diverted to Jaipur, one each to Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.

The inclement weather resulted in the delay of 82 flights and the cancellation of five flights at arrivals

At Indira Gandhi International Airport, several flights were delayed due to bad weather on Sunday. Trains were also delayed at the New Delhi Railway Station due to dense fog. The decreased visibility has also resulted in numerous train delays. Bangalore Rajdhani was delayed more than two hours, and Mumbai Rajdhani was running an hour late.

Cold weather and dense fog in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar continue to disrupt flights, trains, and transportation. The minimum temperature in Delhi is 10°C, with a maximum expected temperature of 21°C. Flights at Indira Gandhi International Airport are delayed due to bad weather.
