Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's fifth consecutive budget proposal for Jammu and Kashmir envisions a total expenditure of Rs 118,728 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25, a slight increase from the current fiscal's estimate of Rs 118,500 crore. The budget breakdown indicates that Jammu and Kashmir's own tax revenue, non-tax revenue, and grants from the centre will contribute significantly to the income side. Additional resource mobilization is expected to generate Rs 10,732 crore.
