Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Al Karlin, Ph.D., CMS-L, GISP, has been appointed to the Urban Flooding Open Knowledge Network (UF-OKN) advisory panel for the 2021-2022 term.
Karlin, who is a senior geospatial information systems (GIS) professional in Dewberryâs Tampa, Florida, office, has more than 20 years of experience in the geospatial and remote sensing industry and has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles focused on trends and technologies in the geospatial and remote sensing industry. He spent many years in academia before joining Dewberry in 2019 and continues to serve as an adjunct professor of biology at the University of Tampa.
