TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Proving to be the biggest mismatch on the court, sophomore forward Makayla Timpson produced her 11th double-double of the season as she powered No. 24 Florida State Women’s Basketball past 16th-ranked Duke, 70-57, on Sunday afternoon at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
“Obviously a huge win today for us against a very good Duke team,” FSU Head Coach Brooke Wyckoff said. “I’ve said it all season, but the way this group responds to any kind of adversity or down moment, like the Notre Dame game, they always find a way to respond and do exactly what’s needed to bounce back. I’m really proud of our defensive effort and what we were able to hold Duke to shooting-percentage wise and overall points.”
