A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court sitting in Apo, Abuja, has fixed Tuesday, November 8, 2022, for the formal arraignment of the Chairman of Zinox Group, Leonard Stanley Ekeh; wife, Chioma, and nine other in an alleged N170.3 million contract fraud. Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN had on September 9, 2022, filed a 17-count charge bordering on conspiracy, fraud and forgery against the suspects in suit No. FCT/HC/CR/469/2022 before the FCT High Court, Abuja.

Barely two weeks after SaharaReporters' story on the filing of 17 counts bordering on conspiracy, fraud and forgery against the Chairman of Zinox Group, Stan Leo Ekeh, his wife and others before a Federal Capital Territory High Court, the company has filed a process to open their defence in the alleged N170.3 million contract feud.     This comes days after representatives of Zinox Group in several media publications and interviews refuted the story and denied knowledge of any criminal prosecution against their principal in any court in the country.

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami has filed suit against the Chairman of Zinox Group, Leonard Stanley Ekeh, his wife, Chioma, and 11 others over alleged N170.3 million contract fraud. The 17 counts filed border on conspiracy, fraud and forgery.  A court document with suit No. FCT/HC/CR/469/2022 obtained by SaharaReporters was filed on September 9, 2022, before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory by the human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) following the approval of the fiat to prosecute the suspects.
