indiana s wabash correctional facility houses inmates doing time for seriously violent crimes. a less isolated and solitary n confineme confinement, the vast majority of inmates live in two-man cells. avoiding a volatile mix of cellmates is a constant challenge. we try to not put people that are doing life with people going home next year or blacks with whites or white supremacists with someone who might have a child molestation case just to resolve the conflict before it happens. even with careful screening, conflicts still arise with cellmates. we just had an assault. there s a guy in the infirmary
