Hundreds of people waited for up to five hours in driving rain in Carlingford for the arrival of Joe Biden as he returned to the area where some of his ancestors on his mother’s side came from.
The rain poured and the American flags rustled in the stiff breeze, but still, thousands of people lined Clanbrassil Street in Dundalk to cheer on US President Joe Biden on a wet and dreary Wednesday evening. Biden posed for selfies, met with locals, and delivered an address in a local pub during his Louth homecoming.
