The transfer of the former Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo to the position of Aide to the President - Inspector for Vitebsk Oblast should not be viewed as sidelining, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he announced personnel decisions on 28 July, BelTA has learned.

The head of state asked about the state of affairs in Vitebsk Oblast in detail. “We will begin active harvesting in about 1.5 weeks. We have only 24 harvesters in disrepair for now. They will be commissioned by 24 July,” Vitebsk Oblast Governor Aleksandr Subbotin said.
According to Igor Brylo, about 7,500 harvesters will be used in the course of the harvesting campaign. The overall readiness of the vehicles stands at 99%, however, the figure varies from region to region. For instance, it stands at 98% in Vitebsk Oblast although it was 81% a year ago as of the same reporting date.
