Ford has unveiled the seventh-generation Mustang that features an all-new design and is available with both 4-cylinder and V8 powerplants as well as hardtop and convertible body styles.

With lots of flourish and fanfare, Ford has launched the seventh generation Mustang. The launch coincided with the end of The [Ford] Stampede and the beginning of the Detroit auto show that roared back to life after three years. Some watchers have saId this might be the last generation internal-combusion engined Mustang -- well only time will tell.

Whether convertible or coupe, V-8 or turbocharged 4-cyl., the ’24 Mustang will have options at multiple price points and performance levels, Ford says.

DEARBORN (dpa-AFX) - Ford Motor Co (F) unveiled the seventh-generation of its Mustang. The automaker updated the interior with large digital screens, but it has maintained a gas-powered engine.

The legendary pony car continues for a seventh generation as a coupe and convertible with powertrains ranging from a turbo-four to a snarling V-8.

Whether convertible or coupe, V-8 or turbocharged 4-cyl., the ’24 Mustang will have options at multiple price points and performance levels, Ford says.

The next-gen Ford Mustang isn't getting a hybrid (yet, anyway), but it is getting a revamped interior and a new Dark Horse model for 2024.
