KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has expressed his appreciation to the United States for donating one million doses of Pfizer vaccine to help boost the vaccination process under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
Comptroller of the Royal Household of Istana Negara Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, through Istana Negara’s official Facebook account, said His Majesty also thanked US Ambassador to Malaysia Brian McFeeters for the contribution.
“This contribution clearly demonstrates the friendship and good relations that have been established for a long time between the governments and the people of both countries.
“Hopefully, the contribution of the vaccine will help the country in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and intensify the programme,” said His Majesty.

SUBANG: Malaysia has received one million doses of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine contributed by the United States for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
The consignment was flown in by a cargo aircraft belonging to Raya Airways, which landed at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport here at 8.10am yesterday.
The aircraft left Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport on July 2.
Present at the airport were coordinating minister for the national programme Khairy Jamaluddin, who is also Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and US Ambassador to Malaysia Brian McFeeters.
