Paraguay asks to expedite Covax vaccine shipments
Asunción, April 1 (Prensa Latina) Paraguay on Wednesday asked the World Health Organization (WHO) to expedite the Covax vaccine shipment to the country. In a virtual meeting with WHO´s high-ranking authorities, Paraguay´s Parliament expressed its deep concern about the delays of Covax vaccine doses in completing the agreed numbers of vaccines to be sent to the nation.
Paraguayan Foreign Minister Euclides Acevedo and Minister of Public Health and Social Welfare Julio Borba asked WHO´s Director Tedros Ghebreyesus and PAHO´S Director Carissa Etienne to expedite Covax vaccine shipment to the country.
