welcome back to cnn newsroom, i m george howell. hillary clinton main republican rival is face something problems of his own right now. donald trump stumbled on a foreign policy question with a conservative radio host and he calls it a gotcha question. the presidential candidate fumbled when asked if he recognized the names of leaders of isis and other islamic militant groups. he also said he misheard a question from radio host hugh hewitt about the head of iran s elite qods forces. are you familiar with general soleimani. yes. he runs the qods forces. right. i think the kurds by the way have been horribly mistreated by not the kurds, the qods
overwhelmingly they said the best candidate would be donald trump. you think that will stick? you know, i think rick is right. it is going to stick with his committed supporters. i think some of the people who are iffy, who are maybe giving him a second look are going to have some doubts. because look the bottom line is, the apprentice may make for a good reality tv show. it would make some people including myself very nervous to thinning thk that you have an apprentice in the situation room when it concerns national security and our country is in danger. the questions he was asked, frankly, normal people shouldn t know them. anybody running for president should know them. particularly because he was asked basically the same question during the republican debates a month ago. everybody else that goes on the program gets asked, tough, defense and foreign policy question. this is not a gotcha question. but i don t expect tight have a
investigation. ant donald trump isn t the t candidate to stumble over a foreign policy question. here is a bit of that 1999 interview we were talking about. can you name the president of chechnya? no. can you? imagine - she won t have to remember passwords. or obsess about security. she ll log in with her smile. he ll have his very own personal assistant. and this guy won t just surf the web. he ll touch it. scribble on it. and share it. because these kids will grow up with windows 10. get started today. windows 10. a more human way to do.

you know, it s ridiculous to think that they re a threat to our national security. rand paul is wrong and dangerous. governor, is rand paul too soft on national security? well, we re going to get a better chance to see exactly where rand paul is on these issues. he wasn t a senator ten years ago. he is now a united states senator. he is experiencing what s happening in the world and i think as he gets greater perspective, he will be very clear on where he stands on foreign policy issues and we ll give him the benefit of the doubt, take what he says today and that will be the platform he runs with as a candidate for president if he gets into this race. well, no, he s in the race. he got in last week. i know it s hard i m sorry. i haven t kept my score card up as to who is actually officially in and who is just kind of in. so, let me ask you a foreign policy question because you ve been quite critical of president obama s negotiation with iran. what i want to ask you is,
