由於璞園上季報名李冠霆、杜譽城兩名落選球員，經過SBL委員會開會決定，今年首輪第1順位不能選秀，結果狀元籤變成第2順位的九太，九太也選了昔日「南湖戰神」曾柏喻，第3順位台銀挑了先前放棄加入夢想家的王偉丞當上榜眼，探花則是第4順位裕隆選的顏聞佐。
沒想到第1輪沒有選秀權的璞園，隨後竟然一口氣選了11人，包含李謨汎、朱恩麟、林俊恩、邱家佑、趙得恩、陳政軒、吳念哲、林梓峰、周宸緯、陶俊、陳奕綸等人，直到第13輪才告放棄，也創下SBL史上單屆選走最多球員的紀錄。
璞園會這麼做的主因，在於他們除了先前一口氣釋出7名球員，更打算把原本主力升到PLG球隊領航猿打球，所以才會如此誇張挑走11名球員，只是今天代表選秀的人除了總經理陳信安，退役球員林金榜也上台合影，代表璞園人事將有異動。
