KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit ended lower against the US dollar on Friday as risk sentiments for the local note remained fragile following higher United States Treasury yields, said an economist.

During the day, the local unit saw an intra-day high of 82.84 and a low of 82.96 against the American currency

Changes in foreign currency assets are caused by the RBI's intervention as well as the appreciation or depreciation of foreign assets held in the reserves.

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar as traders digest the United States (US) Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting minutes released last night, said an economist. 

The rupee was last at 82.9200 to the U.S. dollar compared with 82.9700 in the previous session.
