While the multi-crore Antrix-Devas controversy about the S-band spectrum deal between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)’s Antrix firm and Devas (backed by American investors), leading to international legal disputes, may have faded from public memory; that there is interest in getting details of the money spent on court cases by this government organisation, effaces through the RTI route.

The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled on August 1 that Antrix Corporation, ISRO’s commercial arm, enjoyed immunity under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act.

The Division Bench of Delhi High Court on Friday dismissed the appeal moved by Devas Employees Mauritius Pvt Ltd challenging the single bench order dated August 29, 2022, which allowed Antrix Corporation Ltds plea and sets aside the Arbitral award dated September 14, 2015, passed by the Arbitral Tribunal allowing the claim of Devas Multimedia Private Limited.
