The Forge River Watershed Sewer District, which will connect 1,889 homes to a new treatment plant to be built in Mastic, is part of the larger Suffolk County Coastal Resiliency Initiative.

Initiative will connect thousands of homes to sewer systems to reduce nitrogen loading and improve water quality.

The project known as the Suffolk County Coastal Resiliency Initiative will connect nearly 6,000 parcels along the county’s south shore to sewers.

Projects will create hundreds of jobs, connect 5755 homes to sewers.
