Former Soviet soldier, Khakimov, who is living in Herat province, said that Russia’s attack on Ukraine is a mistake and President Putin will face failure in the war.

In the Soviet era, when Russia last dominated Ukraine, the country's Jews faced heavy persecution. Now, the Jewish community fears a return to those terrible times. But whatever the future brings, some just want to be a blessing to their countrymen.

Israel's Foreign Ministry called all Israelis to leave Ukraine immediately on February 12th following the news of a potential Russian invasion before the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
