The Army Transportation Museum received the riverine patrol boat this week to help tell the story of a little-known Transportation Corps unit.

The Army base is scheduled to conduct simulated machine gun fire in training areas starting at 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday. It could sound pretty loud if you’re on the post or live nearby, officials warn.

Base officials say the simulated machine gun fire could produce loud noise in communities on and around Fort Eustis.
