SAN FRANCISCO - A few Bay Area restaurants have found themselves in trouble because for attempting to violate the state health order and try to throw New Year’s Eve parties.
In San Francisco, the Department of Public Health posted a Notice of Violation on the door of 620 Jones. The Bar & Restaurant had been promoting a New Year’s Eve party for the past week, offering a sit-down dinner and performances on the patio. Eventbrite removed the listing for going against the state’s current health order. 620 Jones has since postponed the event. Police say patrol officers will make passing calls of the premise on NYE.

Eventbrite has removed listings for at least two separate New Year s Eve parties that were scheduled to be held in the Bay Area.
One party was to be held at 620 Jones near Union Square in San Francisco, while the other was organized by Genevieve’s Wine & Travel and scheduled to be held at Fort McKinley Restaurant and Bar in South San Francisco.
The listings for both events stated that mask wearing and social distancing guidelines would be enforced, but Eventbrite removed the postings since the state s current health order does not allow for either indoor or outdoor dining, and the company prohibits listings that promote illegal behavior.
