Hospital board to meet today

With the opening of the Rhythm Rivers Scenes of the South Art Competition late Saturday morning at the Pine Bluff Regional Park, gentle winds and cool temperatures blew through the makeshift art gallery setup.

The first Pine Bluff City Council candidate forum and debate was held Thursday at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff as an initiative of outgoing councilwoman Joni Alexander and her nonprofit organization Y.E.S. (Youth Engagement Services).

In 2017, Go Forward Pine Bluff campaigned for a sales tax to improve the city and promised to raise an additional $19 million to finance initiatives that are not eligible to be funded with the tax. GFPB has raised just over $11.7 million in grants, donations and investments to date.
