At approximately 8 p.m. Tuesday Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson along with CSO Supervisor Dewey Grubb, Deputy Coty Arnold and K9 Deputy Wes Brumley along with K9 Ghost arrested Ashley Lewis, 30 of London. The arrest occurred after Sheriff Robinson received a tip that Lewis was at a residence off of Cool Springs Road.
Lewis was wanted for complicity to commit murder that happened in Laurel County on Dec. 20.
Upon arrival, Sheriff Robinson and deputies surrounded the residence and located Lewis attempting to hide in a bedroom. Lewis was placed under arrest without incident. TUESDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting Lieut. Chris Edwards attempted to pull over a vehicle on Highway 1376 about 6 miles north of London. The driver, later identified as 27-year-old Dustin Patterson of East Bernstadt, sped up at a high rate of speed onto Jackson Road, to Arthur Ridge Road, to Four Oaks Road and into a wooded area. Patterson continued to flee down trails clipping trees and striking large rocks with his car. Lieut. Edwards along with other detectives and deputies continued into the woods in the departments four-wheel-drive pickups and with assistance from the East Bernstadt Fire and Rescue using their side-by-side. When they found Patterson’s disabled vehicle he and his passenger, 25-year-old Cassi Colston of East Bernstadt, fled on foot. The pair was quickly caught and taken into custody. Patterson admitted to deputies he had taken a shot of crystal meth. Both were found in posses
