More than two years after a group of Indigenous demonstrators started occupying a proposed development site in southwestern Ontario, a provincial court has again granted an injunction permanently barring them from the land.

The judge ruled the defendants are not authorized to claim treaty rights and the developer had sought out appropriate approval from the Six Nations council

The sentencing hearing of Haudenosaunee activist Skyler Williams was back in court Thursday morning, after Justice Gethin Edward said he was "trying to find the truth" when it comes to the land Williams says he has been defending.
