Wayne County Treasurer Donna Masterson is reminding Wayne County Tax Payers that the first installment of Real Estate Taxes is due this Friday, October 7th. Taxes may be paid in person at the Treasurer's Office between 8a.m. and 4:30p.m. After office hours taxes may be paid utilizing the drop box located on the west side of the Courthouse. Real Estate Tax Payments may also be made at the following bank locations: First Financial, Cisne Trust, Mt. The 2021 Fairfield PaintOut ended Saturday with an awards presentation to participating artists, who submitted approximately 225 works this year for the Premier Show and Sale on Friday. PaintOut Committee Member Melinda States say the sale brought in $17,185, a new record for the event. Saturday's award winners included Larry Siwek for Hometown Pride; Troy Tatlock for the Best of Show; Marty Coulter, Spencer Meagher, and Susan Rodgers the Awards of Excellence; Coulter Artists' Choice; Vicki Gifford People's Choice; and Fran Mangino won the Tuesday Quick Paint. The Jurist for the event was Roy Boswell. The Albion City Council will meet tonight at 7 at City Hall. In old business, votes are likely on the auditor's report, a fairgrounds water adjustment, and trick or treating. After department, ward, and city reports, the council will move to new business.
