Life slows down in the South, so what better way to sample it than a meandering road trip through the South’s coastal states? From northeast Florida’s sun-soaked beaches to the mountains of fall color along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina, a road trip through the South showcases the best of America’s coastal southern states.
We’ve highlighted the must-sees along the road, but make this road trip of southern states your own; don’t be afraid to stop at that roadside fruit stand or farmer’s market (they’re the best places to find mayhaw jelly in Florida or Carolina barbecue).

BURLINGTON COUNTY, New Jersey (WPVI) Two high school juniors in Burlington County are behind a charitable organization dedicated to helping those in need during this pandemic.
Amy Pecoraro and Matt Mojena are students at Northern Burlington County Regional High School in Columbus, New Jersey.
They started what they call the Better Together organization, collecting and distributing essentials to our neighbors in need.
Today was their first drop-off at the St. Francis Inn in Philadephia s Kensington section. Since we are just 16-years-old we thought about how we could help them and what we can do, said Pecoraro. So we know that throughout the pandemic, there have been a lot of people who have been struggling. We thought to make packages with food, water, socks, hand sanitizer, and masks because that s what we can do to help.

On March 3, Archbishop Nelson Pérez visited residents of St. Francis Villa in the city’s Kensington section. Built by archdiocesan Catholic Housing and Community Services (CHCS), the $15 million site, which opened in 2016, offers 40 one-bedroom apartments to income-qualified seniors aged 62 and above.

The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me” (Matthew 25:40, NIV).
An unhealthy plague is sweeping across the nation. It’s not only COVID-19. It is also homelessness. Currently, an estimated half-million people are experiencing poverty and homelessness in the U. S. Many face hard times due to job loss, health issues, or poor life choices. Others struggle with addiction and regret while living on the streets.
However, many Christ-centered rescue missions are responding to the hurting. These ministries answer the desperate calls of homelessness by providing shelter, food, and the hope of the cross.
