Powerful winds taking down trees in the town of monson. In some places, there was so much debris that roads had to be blocked off. This is the same town devastated by a tornado back in 2011. Looks like most of that weather has moved out of area. Thats right. The cold front that brought us the rain and the heavy winds pushing well to the south. High pressure building in. You notice around High Pressure the winds go clockwise so we do developed. Persistent out there. Youre going to feel them when you step outside the door first thing this morning. Clouds. Still have a little bit around the cape and the islands but beginning to finally clear things out. We should see full sunshine once we get to the afternoon. Yet another campus shooting. This time one person is dead and three have been taken to a local hospital. Detays are just coming in but the shooting was outside of a dorm at Northern Arizona University Last night. We dont yet know whether this was a random shooting or some kind of dispute gone bad but i can tell you School Officials are reporting that the shooter is in custody and that the incident is over. Implicated him in the murder and burglary of ms. Mckenna. Witness information has also led the police to recover five firearms stolen during the incident. Including the ak47. Investigators have confirmed that ms. Mckenna was the owner of four of the five weapons on the other night, including the a f15 and the ak47. This case is ongoing and the work is not over and will not be until every person responsible is held accountable for their actions. I cannot say it enough.
