charley crowson has the latest information on a train derailment. reporter: we are outside the howard county police department, moved our location to get live to you this morning. a mile away, an 80 car train derailed, 23 of the cars carrying coal, spilled out in to howard county. two people have been confirmed dead. there were several dozen people along main street coming in to the streets after they heard about the train derailment, they came out to see what happened. many of them tweeting and calling 911. we have responders down there from csx, they own the train and the rail. howard county is there, baltimore and mtsb. linda so was at the scene moments before 4:30 when we went on the air. the family members showed up, the moe, the father, the stepmother and the victim and older brother and younger brother. the victim s name is elizabeth gnash, about to enter her junior year, about to go back to school when this happened. the older brother and younger brother, told us
it is a big financial loss for westminster. we are having fun. westminster, baby. fanit has been a raven s dream. mad pliers. ths they built live long memories. you know football is coming. you drive out to westminster and there is all that ravens of stuff. that tradition is gone. that is kind of sad. this was the first time in 14 years that the camp was not held at mcdaniel college in westminster. ravens officials have decided to permanently move the camp to the team facility in owings mills. they say is the best place for the team to train but it was not an easy decision. the sad part is we had such a connection with our fans at training camp, maybe the best and all of pro sports. we will not have that now. it is a disappointment for local businesses. the training camp drew more than 100,000 people to the city last year. fans are estimated to spend about $2 million there every summer. some of the restaurants, gas stations, places like that it has helped put
involved. training camp has changed throughout the years. it is a new era. at such a great time, it was such a great time in westminster. we had 110,000 people come during camp. that is a connection we are not going to get anywhere else. what can we do to try to capture a little bit of that back? we are not sure but we are going to try. the decision to keep up camp at owings mills affects westminster. i imagine this is not received it too well. a lot of long defaces here. it is not exactly like the colts weaving in the middle of the back in the night but it is the big punch in the stomach. a lot of fans like to come here in the summer to watch the baltimore ravens. they bring into the economy anywhere from $1 million to $3 million ever summer. earlier we spoke to representatives from a panel college and westminster s mayor for the reaction. we respect everything they do. it has been a 15-year partnership and one that has served well for us. i am sure while they will
