Officers from the Stamford Police Special Victims Unit traveled to Los Angeles, to extradite 35-year-old Fredy A. Orellana back to the state for his part in a two-year prolonged sexual assault of a child under the age of 10 years old, said Stamford PD Captain Diedrich Hohn. The investigation began after the victim was seen at a hospital with a sexually transmitted disease. Officers conducted a forensic interview of the child and were able to corroborate many of the allegations against Orellana.
