A group of United States congressmen have introduced the Armenian Protection Act (H.R.7288) -  a bipartisan bill that will restrict U.S. aid to Azerbaijan by removing the Presidential authority to waive Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act. Its Senate counterpart (S.3000), spearheaded by Senator Gary Peters (D-MI), was adopted unanimously last year.

Turkey’s close ties with Azerbaijan is a well-known part of regional politics. Azerbaijan's focus has been on the relationship of the leaders.
