Paterson MVC agency closed till after Christmas
Updated Dec 15, 2020;
Drivers who usually use the Paterson MVC agency and regional service center will have to wait until the day after Christmas to conduct their business there.
The MVC extended the length of time the facility is closed until Dec. 26 after a second employee tested positive for the coronavirus. That employee was last in the agency on Dec. 10, said William Connolly, an MVC spokesman. The agency was originally scheduled to reopen on Dec. 19.
Paterson joins 14 other agencies across the state that have been temporarily closed due to the coronavirus. The closure of close to 50% of the state’s 39 agencies mirrors the spike in COVID-19 cases in the state and nation.
