MU Health Care will end first-dose COVID-19 vaccinations at its Faurot Field site, as the organization shifts to clinics and pharmacies to administer the shots, the hospital announced Friday.
Dr. Laura Morris, MU Health Care vaccine co-chair and family medicine physician, said with many residents still unvaccinated, the move will provide more convenience for patients.
“While we’ve made tremendous progress with vaccinations, there are still a lot of people who have not yet been vaccinated,” Morris said. “Moving the vaccinations to clinics and pharmacies will provide more flexibility and convenience for patients as we continue to increase our vaccination percentage.”
