Shot on Super16mm, GOOD LUCK is a portrait of two mining communities operating on opposite sides of a hostile world: the state employees of a 400m-deep underground Serbian copper mine and the Maroon laborers of an illegal gold mining operation in the jungle tropics of Suriname.

There is very little context given to this films glimpse into the lockdown of a south eastern turkish village. But what is presented is an incredibly ambient and poetic documentary linking tragic events ( including direct interviews with the people suffering in the village) with beautiful landscapes and an otherworldly display of a meteor shower.

An Banna Ceoil Nua is less of a band and more of a concept. And what concept is that you ask? A band concept. A new band concept you ask? Yes. A new band concept. Their sound is rocky, echo-y, gainy, dirty, and catchy. All original songs, except for a few fantastic exceptions (The Clean, Man Man, Mo Tucker, Guided By Voices), An Banna Ceoil Nua are “Nua”-thing but a good time!

Meng Qingze, born in Beijing, is a young saxophone player. He has studied saxophone performance since childhood, and has successively studied with Mr. Zhang Kecheng and Mr. Lu Tingquan, the famous domestic saxophone players. Graduated from the Modern Music Department of Tianjin Conservatory of Music in 2016. In 2017, he went to Tokyo, Japan to study jazz, and in 2021, he graduated from the Jazz Department of the National University of Music in Japan with a bachelor's degree.
