Tesla charges $12,000 for Autopilot technology, an advanced driver assistance system that many consumers think makes vehicles autonomous.

Alan Prescott left Tesla to join Luminar, a startup developing LIDAR for self-driving cars. The amount it took to get him was sizable.

Elon Musk's Tesla will disable the "rolling stop" feature which allows the vehicles to roll past stop signs, the NHTSA said.

The ad, a possible publicity stunt, was placed by the CEO of Green Hills Software. Tesla CEO Musk said: "Green Hills software is a pile of trash."

Musk has previously said that the FSD software required a lot of testing and code tweaks for a different road system in Canada compared to the US.

As far as the rest of the road users are concerned, the best thing you can do behind the wheel of your car is to be predictable. Just stay in your lane, maintain a constant speed, indicate your turns or lane changes, and, generally speaking, play by the rules.

You may not believe it after watching the clip below, but Elon Musk actually said at some point that autonomous driving was a "solved problem" and that Tesla's FSD Beta is already safer (and therefore better) than human drivers.
