Jamz Supernova is launching a new podcast, DIY Handbook, kicking off on 24th May.
A first for the BBC 6 Music and 1Xtra regular, and former BBC Radio 1 host, confirmed guests include producer Toddla T, entrepreneur Ciara Madden, broadcaster June Sarpong, and Zubin Irani, manager of acclaimed singer-songwriter, Jorja Smith.
A range of topics will be covered in eight weekly episodes, ranging from diversity and trauma to successful team relationships. The first instalment focuses on The Art of Persistence , featuring British Olympic gold medallist Katarina Johnson-Thompson. Through a collection of conversations and real-life anecdotes with a range of brilliant business and creative minds, I take the lessons I’ve learned and dissect that experience with people I admire. In a world that praises perfection and overnight success, we’ll aim to be painfully honest, personal and practical! Welcome to my DIY Handbook,” Jamz Supernova said of the idea behind the podcast.

North London R&B riser
Naomi Banks has shared her new single Moving On .
The songwriter has shared stages with Celeste and Rachel Chinouriri, while she recently collaborated with Future Bounce artist ARKTKT.
Debut EP project Meeting Again is out on May 7th, and it s led by this emotive piece of R&B.
Frank and openly emotional, Moving On finds Naomi dealing with an uncoupling, accepting her freedom while removing herself from the past.
Oozing emotion, it s a soulful sojourn into independence, one that finds Naomi moving with creative confidence.
She comments. Moving On was the first one I wrote after ending a three year relationship. It means a lot to me as I wrote it alongside the three guys who have helped me through every tough time Iâve had over the past few years.
It’s an uncomfortable fact of the situation that some people have had a good pandemic. The rhythm of our daily lives has been disturbed, maybe forever, but for a lucky few that disturbance has been a boon. The type of person this applies to has: a steady job, the ability to work from home, an optimistic mindset and most importantly the kind of work ethic that was already pushing them to exhaustion, until the virus cancelled all plans. Cut to Jamz Supernova: the BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ whose Tuesday night show has been a lifeline during this year of remote listening and BYO vibes.
