Test scores, which were already falling before the pandemic, took a nosedive, and recent years have seen a blitz in teacher strikes over poor working conditions and being paid wages not far above the poverty level.

The Army will undertake major overhauls to its recruiting force Tuesday it likely missed its recruiting goal for fiscal year 2023, which ended Sept. 30.

Most participants in the Army's pilot program have sufficiently lost weight and increased their test scores to meet Army requirements.
