Sony recently posted, and removed, 22 job listings for developers and engineers to work on a new PlayStation cloud gaming streaming platform.

While Xbox has spent a great deal of time pushing its cloud gaming services (thanks in no small part to Microsoft’s ownership of the Azure cloud computing service), Sony has focused much more on local gaming solutions. This seems to be shifting somewhat with a number of new job listings – alongside recent rumours – suggesting that Sony is going all-in on cloud gaming.

Sony job postings and patents reveal that the company isn’t done working on cloud gaming following the death of Stadia. It wants a way forward, with or without Microsoft.
