NORWALK, CT Two Norwalk police officers were arrested Tuesday night after they were found together at a hotel when they were supposed to be working the night shift, according to authorities.
Officer Michael Dimeglio, an eight-year member of the department, and Officer Sara Laudano, a five-year member of the department, surrendered at Norwalk Police Headquarters Tuesday after warrants were issued for them.

Cocroft told Patch her magazine was launched in honor of her mother s memory and her mom s legacy to service for women. Her mother was a hairstylist and as a result, would hear stories from her clients. Her mother regularly shared food, clothing, and sometimes a shelter for people going through hard times.

OLYMPIA, WA Democratic legislators on Tuesday filed three bills related to police accountability ahead of lawmakers convening an unusual 105-day session next week.
Due to ongoing coronavirus precautions, this year s 105-day legislative session will largely take place remotely, including most debates and votes in both chambers. The Seattle Times reports a limited number of state senators will be permitted on the floor under the approved guidelines, while the Capitol grounds will remain closed to the public.
On Tuesday, state Sen. Manka Dhingra and Reps. John Lovick and Bill Ramos filed three pieces of law enforcement legislation with stated goals to establish a high standard of honesty, increase public scrutiny over the use of deadly force and create a duty to intervene when colleagues break department policies.

LOS ANGELES, CA The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Tuesday voted in favor of drafting an ordinance that would require national grocery and drug retailers operating in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County to pay frontline workers an additional $5 per hour in hero pay.
Supervisors Hilda Solis and Holly Mitchell co-authored the motion calling for a temporary urgency ordinance that would apply to store chains that are publicly traded or have at least 300 employees nationwide and more than 10 employees per store.
