A surprising majority of young people reported suffering from "menu anxiety" while eating in a public setting, a study conducted by British restaurant chain Prezzo found.
The apparent fragility of today’s young adults is a tale almost as old as those it talks about. Several recent surveys suggest so-called Generation Z, or those currently between the ages of 18 and 26, are more likely to have mental health issues, are more likely to feel stressed at work and are less likely to be enthusiastic or motivated than older people. Some are likely even old enough to remember research labelling the so-called millennials who came before them as the "most anxious generation in history." Many of those millennials are now in or on the cusp of middle age and have not only been succeeded in youth by Generation Z, but, it seems, have been outdone when it comes to fretfulness.
