A family that operates a cattle ranch, Circle 6 Acres, has recently acquired a former building owned by the Hoffmann Family of Companies in Defiance.

The realtor representing the former Hoffmann Schulte’s Bakery building said there is “a lot of interest” in the West 5th Street property.

Years ago, the town of Augusta had three bakeries. But for a long time until recently, it had none.
