Champat Rai, Secretary of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said 11 of the total 15 members of the Trust chose the idol, based on the “impression it left”.
Two black stones from the Mys region have been sent to Ayodhya for idol making. The stones were picked up from Gujjegowdanapura in Jayapura hobli, Mysuru. Two stones have been used for idol making, while the remaining three were sent later. Shrinivasa Nataraj, the stone quarry owner, expressed disappointment over not being invited to the temple inauguration ceremony.
