The Kappa Alpha Psi Gary Alumni Chapter partnered with the Indiana Department of Transportation Adopt-A-Highway Program to ensure Fourth Avenue in Gary is well-kept.

“If any supervisor had ever used the ‘N’ word to an employee, he would have been fired,” one U.S. Steel retiree wrote.

“I needed a job like yesterday, so I went upstairs like I was supposed to. I had to stick it out,” Dennis Whittington recalled.

The Kappa Alpha Psi Gary Alumni Chapter hosted a Thanksgiving Basket giveaway for community members on Saturday morning at Catholic Charities in the Pete Abel State Farm garage in Gary.
